Unboxing and test two Utilitech bulbs. The first is a Utilitech 16 watt, 1600 Lumen, Model LA1600830LED and Utilitech 9.9 Watt 800 Lumen, model LA800833LED.
Both are very reasonably priced. The prices quoted were incorrect The correct prices
the 9.9w sells as Lowes for $7.98. I got it on sale for $6.98. The 16w sells for $16.98. Both 3000K, warm white, Non Dimmable, 180ยบ light pattern
In this video, I also compare both to a standard 100W Incandescent bulb. Maybe I should have stopped the lens down more so you can see just HOW BRIGHT both of these bulbs are! The 60w equivalent (9.9w) is maybe a teeny bit dimmer than a 1280Lumen 100 Watt bulb but... the 100W Equivilent (16watt) is MUCH brighter at 1600Lumens! I believe this bulb may be closer to 150W halogen replacement.
For those who don't want to go LED or have the toxic risks of CFLs. http://www.newincandescent.com still makes, with a government permit, standard Rough Service incandescent bulbs. However, these last 10,000 hours and cost a bit more than the dollar store (from China) variety.
