bcast07232015What kind of cell phone should I get
It is time to think about upgrading our 6 year old phone. Seems that I am having a hard time deciding as the only phone that will work "out of the box" with my PowerMac G5 is the iPhone 4s. However, it is only slightly faster than my 3GS for uploads on the T-Mobile network. Aproximatly 22kbps vs 11kbs. For a idea how SLOW that is. this video is about 486MB. and the upload counter says it will take 645 Minutes! or a bit over 11 hours!
the T-Mobile LTE network can do abut 72Mbps down and 27mbps up (average) but none of the newer iPhones work with my PowerMac G5, so syncing my address book/music and calendars would be a BIG problem. The same problem with Android and Blackberry.
I like the idea of a Blackberry as I type a lot on my phone.. I do watch lots of videos, but I am not into games.
Android... every one I ever tried gave me ulcers. I don't like it's design as I am more comfortable with the IOS platform.
Lumi suggested getting a T-Mobile LTE hotspot and keep my current phone for the speed. Buy an Airpot Extreme card for the PowerMac G5 and I benifit with a faster Internet, than my Frontier DSL. But would it be a better choice for a YouTube video creator? I welcome your comments.
