bcast03032016Saved $25 on my Electric bill this month
Why is saving $25 a big deal? It is a big deal as it gave me the funds to buy some toner for my laser printer! That was $10.13 btw.
I am not sure if we will be buying the Raspberry Pi this month as I may need to save some more funds for it. There is also an interesting twist.
The twist is, the Raspberry Pi 3 just came out. this 1.25ghz beast is faster but runs WAY too HOT for my tastes. It also is going for much more on eBay. Several listings show this going for $50+
Because of these two reasons, I am still lookng to get a Raspberry Pi 2b as it should be cooler and the price is doable.
Lastly, the Raspberry Pi 3, despite being 64bit. does not have a 64bit Rasbian image yet. That is because it is so new. That would be like having a PowerPC G5 with only a 32bit MAC OS X operating system. I will wait before I consider that model.
For my needs, a simple HTML 4.01 web server, A Raspberry Pi 2 would do just fine. I will be starting my web page design on my older Linux server and later porting it to the Raspberry Pi when I do finally buy it.
