bcast01052015infrared cut filter problems
I bought the Security Camera 2000 IR cut filter for my camera. After many trials I got it up and working but.... I am not overly impressed with the video results. I think I should have spent the money to buy a screw on filter as you can see on my test card... the circles show distortion.
The good news is that I don't need the 80a filter on my camera. but I am not very impressed as the focus isn't as sharp.
Lumi and I talk about other things as well.
1. The Cryokinesis experiment and the initial results.
2, Show the monochrome camera video on a NTSC monitor.
3. Debut the Sony 20-80mm TV zoom lens (video was shot in its entirety with this lens.
When I get some money next month, I will order the Hoya IR/UV blocking filter in 49mm size. but... it is $60! or a Chinese Recolax IR blocking filter for $30. also 49mm.
Until then, you are stuck with this. I am out of the sticky tape that is used to attach to the CCD sensor. Will have to ask Security Camera 2000 for more. so I can install the last filter someday.
The good news though: the green screen is GREEN! so getting a good key should be easier.
Sorry about the language. I was getting annoyed with the video results. Without the test card... you may not see how bad it looked. (Lumi thinks it is Okay but.... I am unimpressed with the picture.)
