Winsted Firemans parade 2015

I am not into parades, However, this one is more of a parade of fire trucks and some marching firefighters from as far away as Stockbride Massachusetts!

The parade was shot at 720P, 30fps. but was converted to PAL at 720x576@25fps. as that is our standard video formats that we use. I edited this on the Intel Intel Core 2 Duo iMac which didn't fare much better than the PowerMac G5 at 1080P (The PowerMac G5 does great at 720p whereas the Intel iMac was dropping significant frames at 720P. Its 720P performance was similar to the G5 at 1080P.

Before you complain of the technical natures of this video. Please keep several points in mind:
1. Winsted's parade comes from the West direction at around 5:30PM
2. The iPhone 4s has no lens shade
3. I have very few controls to modify camera parameters in the built in camera app. The Video recorder pro app has about the same number of features but allows video resolution changes, thus the 1280x 780P vs the 1080P that the built in app does.

vlog08192015Rusty is a Daddy kitty

Rusty and his female consort have been raising the kittens together! That is why he has not been around too much. I saw him last night and he was happy and smelled of new kittens.

bcast08072015Tour of the Porch construction site.

The porch is almost done on Level 2. Soon, I hope, they will begin e Level 3 and Level 4. You may notice that the porch design appears to be the same as the original 1860s design.

I found that the IOS 8.3 on my iPhone 4s works okay with iPhoto on my PowerPC G5 but the iTunes will not synch the other stuff. For that reason, I found an inexpensive Intel Core 2 Duo iMac that can be used for the Itunes Sync. It can replace the Dell Dimension 8200 at the yellow house that works like crap (ATI video card not accelerated and KDE is SLOWWWW! With Appleshare, I should be able to sync up with my PowerMac G5, in the studio.

Built in iSight camera is FUBAR but... I got plenty of cameras anyway ;)

The little PowerMac G5 wifi antenna allows it to sync with the yellow house internet so, the machine uploads videos and normal speed without tethering my iPhone or using my T-mobile hotspot.
