T-Mobile doesn's suck! Stop blasting them for your bad research. bcast05...

Many people have T-Mobile. Many of them are happy customers. Yeah, it isn't perfect for everyone and yeah, that un-contract feature can be a little confusing a can the idea of Unlimited data. But, the service works well for me and many and I am fed up with those who bad mouth the company.

What is important is that a customer has to do their own research into their carrier of choice to determine the carrier's suitability. If you did not take the time to do that... You are the one who has failed. Not the carrier!

I love the feature that I can buy any unlocked GSM 1900 phone and bring it to T-Mobile or even an older T-Mobile locked GSM 1900 phone and use it on their service. AT&T Gave me hell to use my older Nokia 6340i (A Cingular GSM phone) on their network as they wanted to nail me with a 2 year contract, They got their wish when I capitulated and got a Motorola Razr V3 about 3 years ago.

I only left T-Mobile at that time as they did not have T-Mobile in Winsted, Connecticut. They added their service about 2 years ago and I decided I wanted back with the Big Magenta 'T'.

Now I have prepaid and have choices to stay or leave with no penalties.

Ghost Detect Pro. was intended to be an all in one ghost detection program for IOS devices such as the Ipod Touch, Iphone 3gs and Ipad.

I quickly explain the problems with the software as it is implemented. The bugs really make this program useless as it does not save your settings. Often crashes and the gauges are oftåen nonsensical.

Yes, it is free but I have seen better software also for the same price. I give this a C- for implementation and desigh

First video transcoded on Powermac G5, Snail Mail Blues, bcast05102013

This is the first video transcoded on the Power Mac G5. It was shot on the Emac G4 but through the påower of 100baseT it was transferred to the Powermac which was set to transcode to 640x480 resolution (I wanted a tough/practical test),. Took about 2 hours or so. I did not clock it so I have no absolute numbers to go by. Movie was about 20 minutes. and the transcoder really didn't make my G5 sweat at all. Unlike my G4 which uses over 100% processor capacity. and easily took twice as long to process the same video.

Older computers, Preventive hardware maintainence often required.

If you are interested in buying an older system, you need to be aware that often these systems may have bad capacitors or even a dead CMOS/PRAM battery. This can cause them to fail to start or if they do start, they may not work properly. You should look for bulging or blown electrolytic capacitors.

Most Lithium CMOS/PRAM batteries only run about 10 years before they die. Replacing the battery may be all that is needed. You can connect a two AA battery holder in and use standard alkaline batteries, if you have a place to mount such a holder instead of using coin cells or those Tadrian/Saft lithium 1/2 AA batteries that are used on many Macs.

If you invest into a computer with liquid Cooling (LCS)/Water cooling you will also need to replace old hoses and seals. The coolant can eat and destroy motherboards and cases. You need to fix these systems, preferably BEFORE they leak. They work very much the same as your Automotive cooling system.

Cleaning the machine is also a great idea too. Keyboards can get really cruddy.

Yellow plastic can be cleaned with VOL 40 Salon hair bleach from Sally's Beauty Supply as was suggested by another Youtube contributor.

I coughed and hit the Mic at one point and it made a cool sound. (grin) I was going to remove the effect but, I forgot where it was on the video. Let me know where it is, and I will run the sound through Audacity to remove it. Although, it wakes you up! (grin)
