North American Snow Queen 2015 convocation improved audio

A T T E N T I O N

In the live broadcast, we had
a sound problem as we didn't
turn on the Pre-amp until
halfway through.

However, thanks to Audacity,
we were able to recover the full
sound as the mic sound did go
to the iPhone 4S. only it was
barely audible. We were able to
Give you what you didn't hear
during the live broadcast.

We also found a unusual subsound
which we cannot identify.
If anyone knows what this is,
Let me and Lumi know.
We can also provide you with
the raw youtbe file we used
so you can do your own
audio
forensics on the
background sounds if you want it.

This is the complete live
broadcast,
we did not edit it. We tried to
improve the video. However,
the original video was 320x240
so there was very
little
we could do to improve it.

bcast12172015Little Odds n Ends

This is more of a rant/rave video. but... I packed my Shure SM57 and other gear for the convocation. Thus I used my rebuilt Pyle PD-Mik1 with a custom XLR to 1/4" phone plug cable plugged into my Optiums SSM-1250 unbalanced mic connector. I have my Pyle wired for dual impediance. (kind of a simple hack but it works for when I am in a bind(. However... sometimes the XLR female end that goes into the mic goes weird and I lose audio. It  is a cheap chinese cable and does not have real Canon XLR plugs.

Result was the video ended up being shot in pieces and being spliced together! The audio is a little higher in treble than the Shure SM-57 but it isn't about the sound.... the video covered so many more topics than I can even think of listing. HOwever... here is one I want to you know...

This video is a hybrid video, it is a vlog and a bcast.

I own Doruy an appology as I was a bit moddy yesturday and I snapped at her. The truth is that I am getting frustrated with how things are going  with the weather, mo budget.

I cannot do much about the lack of snow . Mr. El Nino, has a srong dominance. I will keep trying to get some in  in the Eastern U.S. I need to find the right time as I cannot budge the El Nino, he is too large for me to move.
